Don't know if this will help, but hitting the space bar it jumps a page at a
time.

Subject: [jaws-users] searching backwards through a MS word document

Hi everyone,
my subject title might sound a bit weird. However if you're a student or
someone who has to search through long documents, you might identify with my
question. My question is this. I often have files for uni which are
thousands of words long. I sometimes want to find the last(or one of the
last) occurrences of a word/name or phrase. Is it possible to go to the end
of my document, and start searching for that occurrence back towards the
start of the document? At the moment, I have to go all the way through to
the occurrence I want. Or, I make a guess going by the number of pages in
the document and then use control page down to skip through to the page I
think I should start from. Sometimes, I can guess because you get to know
your document fairly well. However sometimes this is not always possible. I
hope I am explaining myself okay. I don't know if this search function is
possible or not, but thought I would ask. I am using Jaws 7.0, windows XP
and word 2003.
thanks Jason
