I just downloaded 7.0.84, which is advertised on their site as the most recent. It's not entirely clear to me whether this includes the latest updates or not, but the program has an automatic update feature. Yes, it very definitely does matter which JAWS version you are using, since there has often been a lag between the release of versions of Adobe Reader and versions of JAWS and it can be difficult keeping track of which version of Adobe Reader works with which version of JAWS.
