I was looking at the web site of our moderator here and if yall haven't been 
there it's well worth a look over some excellent sorce of info on setting up 
many applications on the tips/hints link and in OE under Identies is some 
info on sub-folders..

Nope, couldn't find anything there that serves the purpose. DI'll do some
further digging, since I know that there's a setting _somewhere_ that
accomplishes this.

I wasn't even aware it did that but I had a simular problem a good while
back while on win-98 and I  found all my messages in folders or not expanded
this may or may not be anything to do with your problem here but that is
found on tools/options/general tab page..

Have you thought in the view and layout to check the folders check box
something about showing all folders? Just a thought..
