When Jaws quits talking on one of my systems, I use a hotkey to load Narrator, and that's how I can tell if it is a system problem, or just Jaws. You don't have to open the utility manager to get Narrator, it's just set up that way by default. I made a shortcut to the Narrator file, and then assigned a hotkey to it, so I could dispense with loading the utility manager. One is the Utility Manager and when I use Narrator, I always close this one immediately by pressing SHIFT+TAB to get straight to the Cancel button and then pressing either ENTER or SPACEBAR.
