CTRL+F to forward should work regardless of whether the mail is open for 
reading or not. That's never been an issue for me as long as I've been using 
Outlook Express.

well hope that made sense..I should check my spelling before I sent stuff..

so what I was saying was..do not open the email first, just do the control F
and then tab to the message area and you will find it.

I can only blame my nails for my mistakes..grins
