That's how I do it, too, but you could choose to use the subject line containing [jaws-users] instead. The only potential glitch with this approach would be if a list moderator would one day decide to use the option on YahooGroups to not have the list name placed on the subject line.
And your point about placement of a rule is so important. Structuring message rules is almost like programming--it's necessary to actually think like a computer in order to understand exactly how your rules will be processed and what the effect of one rule may be on one or more other rules. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Gallik" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, September 22, 2006 11:59 AM Subject: Re: [jaws-users] How to fix problems with message rules and folders? Dave, Just how have you defined your message rule for the JAWS-Users messages. Personally, I've used the "To or CC field contains" for the criteria and then filled the addressee field with: [email protected] Also, you may want to be sure you don't have a rule higher in the list that overrides (or at least nullifies) your JAWS-Users rule. ----------------- Bill Gallik Visit the JAWS Users list home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the JAWS Users List send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the new archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Yahoo!
