Hi Karen,
I don't remember if these folders are hidden by default, but if they are,
they wouldn't show up in your search unless you specified that search
criteria.
Try this path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application
Data\Identities\{1C81F983-5F76-11D9-BD11-0050BAB501D0}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express
Note that the string of numbers will differ on your machine.
If you have several identities in Outlook Express, there will be several of
these folders.
Another method, is to go to, tools, then options and then the maintenance
tab while in Outlook Express.
Tab to the store folder button, and spacebar that, and this will give you
the path to your folders.
If you're wanting to backup these folders, rather than just copying them,
and burning them to disk, I would recommend
using E-backup, which will backup these folders, as well as your address
book, and Outlook Express settings.
It is a free program and works well with Jaws, and is easy to use.
It can be downloaded from:
www.jfwlite.com/programs
Once you have used this program to backup your Outlook Express, you can then
burn the backup folder to a cd if you wish, which will also allow you to use
those settings on another machine if you have to
HTH,
Ricquechange machines.
Once you open the folder, you will see a list of your .dbx files.

Okay, I give up. Where are the .dbx folders hidden?

I've checked the program files and did a windows find in "all files and
folders" for *.dbx and came up with nothing.

Also, if i do a back up of documents onto a data cd with easy cd creator,
can i
back up those folders?
Thanks, Karen
