Hi All,
I would like to send faxes occasionally for times when e-mail
isn't appropriate and my understanding has always been that it wasn't
possible with a cable connection which is what I have along with one
land phone line.
My tech hadn't heard of any reason I couldn't, but he uses an
online fax service and suggested that as a possibility. However, the
ones I've heard of would be extremely expensive for the very few I
might need to send-probably less than 6 a year.
I had good luck with Mighty Fax on an old computer when I still
had dial-up and 2 land lines. I was unable to send any faxes the last
time I tried with the cable connection and this XP Home computer with
SP2 and JAWS 6.0 or 6.2. It's been a while and I can't remember which
version I tried it with. The XP fax utility was not installed on the
machine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Margaret

Subject: Sending Faxes with Cable-Permission to Post?
Hello David,
Since somebody asked about accessible fax programs with JAWS, I
was wondering if a question about whether one can send faxes with a
cable
connection instead of dial-up would be on topic?
Thanks,
Margaret
