The letter C will pause and unpause the playing of a track.

To make winamp the default player you will have needed to associate
winamp with audio files at the time you installed it. It will do this by
default so unless you unchecked this item during install, it should be
the default player.

Failing this, with focus on winamp's main window, press control+P and
move down the tree view to file types.

Tab till you hear something like all, it may be a check box. If so check
it and tab to close and press spacebar. This will force winamp to be the
default player for all the file types listed in that section of the
properties.

Winamp will not, by default, play real audio files, to do this you'll
need a plug-in.

Subject: [jaws-users] Jaws and Winamp configuration

Hi Folks,

I am using JFW 7.10 and XP-Home.
Recently I installed Winamp 5.24 and it works ok, however I have a
couple of questions.

1. How do I get play/pause to work? X rewinds me to the beginning of the
CD and numpad-5 in conjunction with the Jaws pass through key doesn't do
anything at all.

2. How do I go about making Winamp my default player?
I read through the information on the Jaws-users web site and couldn't
find any of the features referenced on the Winamp page.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Regards

Larry Stansifer
