John - It sounds like you may have too many really large e-mail folders.
1. How many files are in your Deleted Items folder? If you chose to delete something, you should always have OE configured to clean out that folder every time you shut down the program. 2. Same for Sent Items. There's no reason to ever have more than a handful of messages in this folder. 3. Is your Inbox folder really large--like hundreds and hundreds (or even thousands) of messages? 4. Have you compacted your e-mail folders recently? Not doing so will waste space. The fact that your computer must be turned on for _any_ length of time before you can do anything in OE really points to something serious. Do you use a good virus checking program and have you run a full system virus scan lately? Something just isn't right on that system. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John O.
