Yes, there is a way to do what you ask; please note the following from my JFW.INI file:
Synth2Name=eloq Synth2LongName=Eloquence for JAWS Synth2Driver=eloq Synth3Name=eloqUSB Synth3LongName=Eloquence Via USB for JAWS Synth3Driver=eloq Synth3Port=USB Audio Device By default, JAWS loads at boot time for me with AccentSA as the speech driver. However, I can use the standard sound card with Eloquence or Eloquence with my secondary sound device. Note that the Synth3 entries instruct JAWS to use the secondary sound device and this is achieved mainly by defining the Synth3Port as the name of that sound device, this name can be identified by: 1) Bringing up the main system menu 2) Opening Settings 3) Selecting Control Panel 4) Selecting and activating the "Sounds" item 5) Moving to the "Audio" tab and browsing the list of sound devices, noting the name of that secondary audio device verbatim. 6) Using this secondary audio device name as the Synth#Port value in the JFW.INI file (where Synth#Port substitutes the correct number with the "#" symbol. Note tht the SynthDriver will be "eloq" in either case, but for usability the SynthName and SynthLongName values should somehow indicate that the secondary audio device is employed. Also, these instructions assume that the secondary audio device has already been installed.
