Hi Angela, I to don't want to burst your bubble. But I was on that list and
you really don't know what kind of condition this computer will be in and
you won't know who and how they took care of it. I have a friend taking this
transcriptions course and they furnish or the blind services provides all
the equipment she needs to take the course. I would look into getting help
from a blind friendly company that helps people who are blind get what they
need for study or sometimes for personal use. I hope you get everything you
need.
Nan

No I don't have to pay a penny for the machine. The person I am getting it
from is giving it to me. I am on a yahoo group called sight exchange

Angela, you can go out and buy a refurbished laptop for less then $500 if
you look around. I hope you are not having to pay a penny for this machine.
I can't even imagine surfing the internet with JAWS 2.anything.

Annette

Angela -

Are you aware that this combination of Windows 95 and JAWS 2.0 is technology
that is literally years out of date and that almost no recently published
software is going to run on it? What program or programs over and above what
is already installed on this system do you plan to install on it to support,
for example, medical transcription work? I really hate myself for sounding
as though I'm trying to rain on your parade, but this computer configuration
is as old as you could have without going to a pure MS-DOS computer and I'm
genuinely concerned for you in terms of having your hopes and expectations
unmet.
