I did pick up on that point of what operating systems will be supported.
Interestingly enough to me is the fact that by doing that it might hurt them
because if somebody isn't updating their PC they won't be updating their
version of JAWS either. It is a good interview though and I obviously agree
with Walt that everybody should listen to it. The interview runs around 74
minutes.

Subject: [jaws-users] Eric's interview on Main Menu

This is very interesting. I missed the original broadcast the other night,
but something that Eric said should have generated more of an impact, so I
wonder if people either missed it or haven't yet listened. If the latter, I
strongly encourage you to use the link that David provided to listen because
there's lots of interesting as well as important information there.

Possibly the most important statement for many people was that starting with
JAWS 8.0, the only versions of Windows that will be officially supported;
and the only versions that will be able to run 8.0; are Windows 2000;
Windows XP Home or Pro; and Windows Media Edition. In other words, if you
are not running one of these versions of Windows, you will not be able to
use JAWS 8.0. There will be no support whatever for Windows 98 or
Millennium.

Again, here's the best link to listen to the interview:
