Hello all,
Ive discovered a workaround for the combo box
in IE 7.0. The problem is that JAWS wont read the contents of the combo box
when in forms mode. This is quite annoying, but theres a simple solution.
To use the combo box while in forms mode,
simply tab to the combo box and then use the Alt-Down Arrow keystroke. This
will open the combo box, and then you can use the arrow keys to make your
selection from the choices in the combo box. Hit the Enter key when youve
made your choice. Youll still be in forms mode, so you can continue filling
out the form youre working with.
This also works well when you have one of
those combo boxes that will try to take you to another page when you select
one of its options.
This works with most versions of JAWS.
