Sorry Bill, my instructions weren't very clear, and were specific to the way I have things set up. I have the folder list displayed in Outlook. If you don't, use alt+v and press enter on the menu item that says folders. If the menu option says checked as you arrow down the View menu, you're already set with this. If you are reading messages in your Jaws folder, hit shift+tab and you should hear "Tree View, Jaws", or maybe "Tree View, JawsList", depending on what your folder's name is. Once focus is on the folder you want to move, hit the applications key, and arrow down. You should hear options like "Move Jaws", "Copy Jaws", "Rename Jaws", and "Delete Jaws". If you press enter on "Move Jaws", you'll see another tree view. Use that to choose where you want your Jaws folder to go. I think you'll want to use the left arrow key to get to the "Personal Folders entry, which is level 0 on the tree view. If you press enter there, it will place the Jaws folder below the Personal folders, as a level 1 folder, and in alphabetical order with your other Personal folder entries. What causes the problem in the first place is that folders can have sub-folders. If you have folders 1, 2, and 3, and focus is on folder 2 when you create folder 4, what you get is folders 1, 2, 2.4, and 3, instead of folders 1, 2, 3, and 4. You need to have focus on folder 0, which is Personal folders in order to get them arranged alphabetically. This is probably as clear as mud, but there you go. If you still have questions, contact me off list and we can talk on the phone. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of bill Koppelmann Sent: Tuesday, October 24, 2006 2:52 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [jaws-users] 1question for Jeffrey--Outlook folder question
Hi Jeffrey or anyone else reading this, I did as you suggested, I put my mouse on the jaws folder, and right clicked as you suggested, but unfortunately, the move otion was not one of the options that it gave me. Now, I did this with the jaws folder highlighted, but not in my in box, does that matter? thanks for any further help you can give me.
