Alternatively you could press alt+V for the view menu, select the first item in the list which is toolbars, press right arrow to open the sub-menu, arrow down once to address bar and if it's not checked, press enter on it to check it. Job done.

Press control+right arrow till you reach "address" and click once on it with the left mouse button (insert+/. This is a taggle button and should show the addresses in your address bar. It helped me because even though my address bar was active I couldn't see or copy the addresses. Hope this helps.
