I presume that There will be completely new functions added in JAWS 8.0to interface with IE 7's new features. Expecting anything earlier than 7.10, which FS has stated will work _fairly_ well with IE 7, to work with code that didn't even exist in beta form when the given JAWS version was released is totally unreasonable. One frequently reported problem, even when using 7.10, with IE 7 has to do with some web page controls such as combo boxes. Since HTML coding practices can vary all over the place in order to accomplish the same "visible" results, don't assume that just because IE 7 works on one web site that it will work on another. Until you've tested on hundreds of web sites using every possible HTML control, you haven't tested.

Is there any reason that a newer version of Jaws would not have better success with IE 7? Especially since there were giant leaps forward with releases past 5.1. I will be installing IE 7 in the next couple of days, and will let everyone else know how I find the experience. I will be testing it with Jaws 7 and XP Home, on a laptop.
