This may be the crux of the matter. Did you download fonts (even as a one-off to NVM or something like that) to the other printer? Font cartridge? The other possibility is that you are just selecting fonts that were available on the old printer and are not available on the new one. All in all though, I think that the K5400 is just not a good option as a business printer and if you can I woudl take it back and exchange it for one that supports PCL 5 or 6.
