I know it is really ancient and I would love to upgrade it but he is the
only one that uses it for his own personal finances

1) These messages occur as I start using the jshell command jsh.exe
-c"mm".
System variables appear to be fine?

2) I guess what would be the proper upgrade procedures if I did get him
purchase an upgrade if I can not get it to work

Subject: RE: Error on installation of Jbase 3.3.8 on Windows XP PRO SP3

Firstly, 3.3.8 is a pretty ancient release.

If you want to stay with V3 of jBASE I would at least update to V3.4.10
(which I believe to be the latest 3.4 release level), or to the very
latest and greatest 4.1.5 release.

At what point are you getting the error messages ??? During the install
?

Regards
Simon
