Upgrading to 3.4 should be a case of installing the new version and  
probably recompiling the code.

It would probably also be more useful to upgrade to the microsoft  
dotnet compiler - you can get this free of charge from Microsoft's web  
site (search for dotnet sdk v1.1)

Running jdiag from the jsh prompt will probably highlight the source  
of the problem in any case..  Post the result of jdiag here if you  
can't find the issue.
