Nah, this was just an ( undocumented ) 'feature' of Pick ( and
coincidentally McDonnel Douglas ) which 'worked' 'cos the original
author 'forgot' to clear the stacked values

jBASE doesn't have an emulation for
'undocumented_features_that_'work'_by_accident_rather_than_by_design'
unfortunately ;-)

Otherwise we would have needed to implement a periodic GFE just to
keep the diehard Pickies happy ;-)
