jrf doesn't use the hashmethod to calculate anything, unless it has been 
drastically modified in recent years? It just takes the number of items, 
average size, size of bucket and Greg's your huge modulo uncle!

Yeah, but jrf says it is going to use way more groups than it should, 
unless there is information we are unaware of yet.
