Hi All, I read this thread with great interest. My 2 cents are: I'm T24 man but the one that can tell application level from DBMS one. Unfortunately, Temenos recently has taken the approach that all so- called "local" developments are done not by trained technical consultants as it was before (and not by customer's staff), but by an internal Temenos "coders" group where people are taken after, possibly, 1-day training. Hence the lot of low-qualification in questioning. Many people think that anything that is related to T24 can be asked here.
Also T24 has certain level of abstraction leading to many even qualified T24 people not knowing, for example, what correlative is. I agree that this group is to be cleaned - I don't think that T24 people are not welcome any more - just more moderation is necessary. I'm often tempted to reply to some query "this isn't jbase at all" but I'm merely a user... After all, T24 users have another forum - http://www.t24all.com. I've tried to stay there first but it really full of newbies not only asking same things over and over again but also giving absolutely wrong advices. OK, 4 cents :)) VK On Aug 26, 5:58 am, Rick Weiser <[email protected]> wrote: > Kannan, > > I don't disagree with you on this.
