On one hand I don't like trolls any more than the next guy. On the other hand the exact request was:
"I'm a beginner in JBase. I want to know how to create a new database on JBASE please." That was clear and respectful. It doesn't have the markers of a vampire or troll. It looks like a perfectly legitimate enquiry. He's a beginner looking at a platform where the documentation sucks and it's almost impossible for a beginner to get any sort of clue. And when This platform in This industry gets an open request like this, I'm surprised that there aren't more people eager to foster the education of a newcomer - perhaps one to replace the dozen or so that retire or die each year. No, I'm not going to pitch the guy - I provide specialty corporate development services that others don't provide, not introductory-level training for individuals which just about anyone else can do. If this question had been asked in a MongoDB group or anywhere else, I don't think every nose in the room would go up in the air like it did here. Maybe that's one of the reasons why no one even looks at this members-only MV club anymore. OK, here's my response to Emeid danydieme: See the link below and take your enquiry to the MVDBMS group where you'll get better feedback and recommendations for similar systems on which you can learn. Unfortunately since this industry doesn't market to the outside world, chances are high that this person is an employee in an orphaned shop that already has jBase and he/she is just trying to figure out how it works before someone recommends a migration to Oracle. In my opinion this would be another reason why some jBase VARs might have jumped on this . but seriously, who's really interested in companies who already bought the software? (Contrary to appearances today has been quite pleasant otherwise, thank you.) See link: http://slash7.com/2006/12/22/vampires/ The OP hasn't provided any real information as to what are their goals, what have they attempted already, what platform they're on, what version of jBASE they're using, etc, etc. Don't you sell consulting services?
