The problem is the 'should' Once I make the swap I am stuck. There are 18 remote systems all 3.x that I do not want to have to replace on the fly if it does not work.

That should work as long as you are just using BASIC programs. JED should also work okay.

I use it to read/write/delete records between stores. Will all
that work. Using stub files to do it. (again between versions).

        jRFS works on 5.x windows

There is no programming involved in jRFS. jRFS is simply a
NFS for jBASE that has some enhancements for SELECT (allowing
        remote select) and locking

You can mix jRFS with versions so long as you only want to use
it to access files, but it is not recommended and remote
select and some other enhanced features would not work.

        Hi, all:

Can anyone familiar with jRFS and the various Jbase releases
        answer these questions please:

        1. Does jRFS work on Jbase 5.x windows version?

        2. Is it the same as Jbase 3.x in programming?

        3. Can the main system be a 5.x Jbase and access via jRFS,
        files on
        remote 3.x systems?
