Thanks guys for all your input. The only reason I would even
consider leaving xp is that it will probably be impossible to
get the updates if the system ever crashed. I have now found a
program downloads all the updates to cd and will install them
easily. So as long as I am not dependent on MS for those
updates, I'll be staying with xp. I have an xp install disk with
sp2, sp3 on separate cd and now all the updates on another cd so
I can install any time I choose to.

Yes it's possible and yes get a 'pro' version (avoid anything
from Microsoft with home anywhere in the name), and it's
simplest if you get a 32 bit version.
3.4.10 is the last version, but we have a few laggards so you
might try whatever version you have in hand.
Depending on which version you are currently running going to
3.4.10 may require recompilation.
Install the .NET Framework SDK V1.1 (to get the C compiler) first.

Win 7 pro 32 bit works fine.

With the upcoming demise of xp, I would like to migrate my

point in my life, I really don't want to go through the
learning curve and I only have one "client" left with a
small application running.
Sooooo.... Is it possible to put my jb 3.x on Win7, and if
so, what version do I need? I have "Home Premium" right
now, but think there is a "Pro" version that I should get.
Is this true? I would assume there are system variables
that must be set too, if I want to have the full
capabilities of compiling and cataloging basic programs.
