I'm with David Grenfell on this. I don't deal with differential or incremental backups (although the Acronis backup software I use can do incrementals). I just do full system backups to an external hard drive. With disk space as cheap as it is, I just don't see any need to bother with anything other than full backups...and, with Acronis, it's easy to restore a single file or the whole system or anything in betwixt.
