Just thought I'd share this experience with you guys. My strategy was in play with a long position on the ES today. We went out to see the new Harry Potter film. I got back 2 hours after market close and JBT was still showing my long position.
Looking through the EventReport, it appears that TWS lost connectivity to IB at about 3pm ET. Thankfully, I was able to close the position with no harm done today as the current price for the ES was within the range that it should have closed at by itself (and a small profit to boot). Still very frustrating! I have back-up broadband via my 3G iPhone and tethering, but that only works if I'm here!
