When you get an account with IB, you have 3 types of login:
1. Demo account: login with edemo/demouser. Not useful with JBT, since market depth is not fed. 2. Simulated account (also known as a paper-trading account). This works well with JBT if you want to test any JBT functionality, including order submission and execution. However, it has known market data issues. 3. Real account. This is what you'd use for trading when ready, but JBT also has a "forward test" option which allows you to run your strategies with that account without actually placing trades. These topics are covered at some length in the JBT manual: https://docs.google.com/View?id=dfzgvqp4_10gb63b8hg If anything is missing in the manual, please let us know. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "JBookTrader" group.
