Hello all, I've been reading this group and watching you all have fun and make a little money with JBookTrader for a while now. I've decided that I want to go live trading in Jan of 2011. That's my goal, but I need some help to get there. Here is what I've done so far:
- Read the users guide<https://docs.google.com/View?id=dfzgvqp4_10gb63b8hg>, more than once. - Setup an account with IB, and funded that account. - I'm on Mac OS/X 10.6, so I wrapped up the IB TWS into an app-wrapper (something I can double click to start). - I've checked out of SVN the latest sources<http://code.google.com/p/jbooktrader/source/checkout> from Google Code and setup Eclipse. - I ran IB TWS and set the configuration as shown in the JBT Users Guide, did “Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients” and the "Bypass Order Precautions for API Orders". - I see live data in the IB TWS window for forex and what I believe is Futures for ES GLOBEX (which is what all the default strategies reference, right?) I picked March 11 just for the heck of it. - I ran JBT from Eclipse, selected a strategy, right clicked (I have a three button mouse) and selected "Forward Test" - IB TWS asks if it's ok to accept the connection, I click "sure, why not?" (or maybe it just said "Ok") - Zeros show up across the strategy's columns, no live data. So I'm stuck at step #4 in the Users Guide. I'm sure there are 10 steps I either missed or messed up. Any ideas? :) thanks! -greg -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "JBookTrader" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
