Cron4j only provides a trigger to run a specific code on a specific time. 
Basically I have a job that sends an e-mail report to a list. 

Of course the default web interface would do the job but simpler is better

And regarding your second point I fully agree with you. Forward test will 
provide same results that a backtest but it's a way to compare simulated 
strategies with real ones in same instance.
