The question is coming from reviewing the code because I hadn't found
how the interceptors were getting brought into the picture. I am updating
the security interceptor to handle changes in the 2.0 spec and wanted to
make sure security will work with the local interfaces. I'll trace the exectution
path more throughly and comment on any issue I see.
