it is not that it is something else and it is SOLELY due to the startup of
the database hsql. I can hang the db with no other mbean being started.

David Jencks is seeing this behaviour up close and he recommends moving the
db out of the vm and starting it standalone for the next coming days until
we find a way to fix this silly thing... we will track it down

|Yes,
|
|I am seeing this same thing with RH development... really annoying and I
|don't know what is going on... I will try to chase it down today
|but I would
|really like to commit (once and for all!!!!!).
|
|Seems to be a bit better when you move up the initial jdbc stuff
|(initializing the database). I really wonder what makes this happen but it
|seems that if you start the database and it is not done the initialization
|of some other MBean conflicts with that... frankly makes little sense right
|now but something is definitely regressed with the latest versions.

||JBoss 2.4 + Tomcat 3.2.3 Package
||
||
||Hi All
||
||Just upgraded our development machine to the new JBoss
||2.4 + Tomcat 3.2.3 package.
||
||Since then we have experienced the following error on
||starting JBoss which hangs. The strange thing is that
||this error does not happen the first time JBoss is
||started since machine startup. But the error happens
||when you bounce JBoss. Even more strange, sometimes
||when you wait long enough, the error may not happen.
||This makes development a bit difficult as we often
||have to bounce JBoss/Tomcat to test stuff. Any helpful
||hints from anyone. Thanks.
