David, I did a small hack to DeployerMBeanSupport that calls undeploy instead of sending the message. My motivation was laziness when redeploying modified SARs.
This seems to work fine in my tests, including suspending dependent services, except... The classloader in the SarDeployerInfo is not being garbage collected. I haven't tracked down the problem yet. NOTE: This problem occurs using your method without my hack.
