Dear user/developer,

I am currently updating the jBoss test suite to use Ant for builds. In
doing this I am uncovering a bunch of bugs, most of which have already
been reported to the list. The work I am doing now has led me to these
conclusions:
* Lately the state of the server have been rather unstable, and I
sincerely apologize for this. Now that the test suite is more easy to
use it shouldn't have to be this bad in the future.
* Automated test suites are vital. They are ultra-useful. However, the
stuff I have now is more towards making a cute little EJB app that can
be used for various tests, although not explicitly towards testing the
functionality of the server. The ZOL module is also not geared towards
this goal, but more tutorial-ish. Hence, it would be very nice if we
could create tests whose only purpose is to test whether the container
is EJB-compliant or not. The beans/test shouldn't do *anything* more
than simply testing the compliance of the server. Throw exceptions, use
different tx settings, call all methods in SessionBean, etc etc. If
anyone on this list is a perfectionist who enjoys crashing other peoples
software, he/she would probably be a good candidate to write such a
suite. It doesn't have to be complete, but as much as possible.

regards,
  Rickard
