Great!! This sounds an awful lot like the persistence layering technique
I proposed on EJB-INTEREST last year. Glad to see a tool available that
helps with using the pattern :-)))

Interesting. I used to work for DN a couple of years ago through
Futurniture. I then implemented an EJB container for Futurniture. Now
I'm doing jBoss and it's supported by EJB tools from DN. The circle has
been closed 8-)
