With all the great help we've received from the jboss-user community I
wanted to announce that our online portion of the LiquidWit service has
launched. I'm proud to say that we use 100% open source technology to
drive the site. We're also 100% java and have developed great amounts of
high quality robust software in a short amount of time because of that.
(I think you can all see where JBoss fits in to this picture.)
Those of you who are interested in a commercial venture which is using
jboss as an active replacement for evaluated-and-rejected commercial
alternatives (BEA, IBM, the usual suspects), browse on over to
http://www.liquidwit.com/
The service is taking applications but will most likely not be of too much
use as you must be registered to use it. Besides, it's aimed at the
marketing/advertising industry. I'm not calling for traffic so much as
want to announce that JBoss is actually working in a production evironment
with relatively minor troubles. Kudos to all the hard work by Rickard,
Marc and any other silent laborers at Telkel who I don't know of.
C=)
P.S. While JBoss is GPL, we would like to know if there exists any
licensing arrangement whereby we could support the continued development
of JBoss through some kind of value. Be it a cash license or air-drops of
food or whatever. If the appropriate person from telkel(?) could contact
me at the email address below it would be appreciated, we are all very
excited by the JBoss project and don't want to see this valuable project
fall by the wayside.
