jBoss certainly creates temporary .jar files - but I'm not sure
whether the temp directory you're referring to is the temp directory jBoss
puts the files in. And I'm not sure where Tomcat puts temporary files,
but I don't think it JARs them in any case. So these are probably jBoss
temporary files.
