I have a question about licensing restrictions on the use of JBoss. The
GPL is very clear on the JBoss web site. However, what is not so clear
is whether the Sun Microsystems license prevents me from deploying
applications built on JBoss.
In particular, I was told by someone working on another EJB server that
EJB interfaces are bound by the Sun SCSL license for J2EE, and as such
can only be deployed by a J2EE-branded app server.
Can someone clarify this issue? This could make a big difference on the
direction we choose for our product.
