Hi Chris
In jBoss JMX is the "startup" backbone which means using the dynamic
loading service of JMX to startup all the components you need to run
jBoss dynamically (defined in jboss.conf).
In addition these components have to be a MBean allowing you to manage
them (viewing and changing attributes, invoke operations and get notifcation
events from them). Therefore you can manage the software components
like DataSource, AutoDeployer and many more but you CANNOT manage
EJBs directly because they are not MBeans by default and I do not think it
is good to treat them like MBeans (but maybe I am wrong).
Unfortunatly the manageable interface of jBoss's MBeans are not well
designed
and need an inspection to become maintable.
To manage EJBs I think the EJB Container must offer a MBean interface
allowing the user to list, select and maintain EJBs.
