Miika,
Are you saying you got JDK1.3 from Blackdown? The
JDK1.3 from Sun works great on Linux, and comes with
the "-server" option (HotSpot Server optimizations).
I have been experiencing excellent performance using
Sun's VM with HotSpot server. (1.3 at least)
