I mean the classpath you use to start JBoss. I suspect that you have 
some VisiBroker classes or properties file or something that is screwing 
with PortableRemoteObject. Are you setting any properties on the command 
line, e.g. -Djavax.rmi.something=whatever? Does it work if you don't 
start it in JBuilder?
