That's strange. JBoss AS 5.0 beta 4 comes *pre-installed* with JBoss Messaging 1.4.1.beta1 (see http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/tags/JBoss_5_0_0_Beta4/build/build-thirdparty.xml). Are you saying you have removed that and re-installed 1.4.0.SP2 instead? That seems a strange thing to do......
