See this http://www.jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-9280. When packaging the WAR 
and the EJB inside an EAR, there should not be multiple packages containing the 
EJB interfaces, as in your case. Remove the EJBClient.jar from the WEB-INF/lib 
and let the WAR access them from the one available at the EAR. See if that 
fixes the problem.
