I had the same problem but i was able to resolve it buy following the instruction in http://www.agapex.com/michaelquattlebaum/?p=41#comment-1037 In addition to that you need to add -Djava.rmi.server.hostname="ip of the external host" to user jboss run.bat. Other things is port 1099 not enough. you need to open 1099, 1098 and 8093 hope this will help to resolve the issue
