I suggest you to fork the project: https://github.com/bpmc/bpm-console https://github.com/bpmc/bpm-console and start playing with it. Looking at the code you must decide if it's better for you to just use the APIs to adapt the console functionality to your applicaiton or to start modifying the project to fit your needs. If your modifications are generic enough you can contribute them to the master project later in the future.
