Since you used it deployment failed as these persistence.xml files do not have defined data source definitions thus connection cannot be obtained when bootstraping the entity manager factory which is the root cause of deployment failure. running simply ant install.demo.noeclipse and then ant start.demo.noeclipse will install and run all components for jbpm demo environment. There is not need to modify any of the files unless you would like to reconfigure demo environment.
