There is nothing fundamentally different about sending mail in JBoss versus using the regular JavaMail API. I would suggest looking at the JavaMail tutorial, or the Java Almanac code examples involving JavaMail. The only *real* difference is in how a Mail Session is acquired. This is done via JNDI and should be done using a resource reference. A quick example can be found here: http://java.sun.com/j2ee/sdk_1.2.1/techdocs/guides/ejb/html/Advanced3.html.
