"The @Name annotation makes a class, e.g. a session bean or an MDB, a Seam component. If it is not present then other annotations, e.g. @In, will not function as expected, e.g. injected fields would remain null. By their nature, those other annotation per se don't cause compile time errors." Assuming that is correct. If not, then whatever is correct.
