As Ronald says. (N.B. there is no 4.1 series of JBoss AS). You can run Seam2 on AS 4.0.5.GA (with JEMS installer) but it will require modification of AS libraries.
CR1 should be major feature/refactoring complete (most new features between the 2 are extensions of existing stuff or internal impl). Much of 2.0.0.GA will be docs/fixes related. I would suggest Seam2 for production in late October - probably still a CR at that point though.
